Orchard Music offers music lessons in Celbridge, Kildare.
We provide instrumental lessons in flute, clarinet, saxophone from beginner to advanced and piano from beginner up to grade 3. Lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes long and students can be prepared for exams under the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) exam board and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM).
We also offer music theory lessons for those who are wanting private tutoring for junior and leaving certificate and the ABRSM theory exams.
Meet the teacher
Rebecca Phillips is a professional musician and teacher with over 10 years of experience. She graduated from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts with a degree in Music and from Edge Hill University with a PGCE in Secondary Music Education.
She has previously worked in London where she was Head of Music at Isleworth and Syon School for Boys. Many of her students have gone onto study music at several prestigious universities such as the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
As a performer, Rebecca has experience playing saxophone with her own band ‘Rebecca and her Big Phat Band’. She has also played clarinet with South London Concert Band, White Rose Concert Band and the Richmond Studio Film orchestra. Musical theatre is her passion and she has played flute, clarinet and saxophone in multiple shows such as Sweet Charity, A Chorus Line, Sweeney Todd (LIPA), Falsettoland and Six Ways (Edinburgh Fringe), Assassins (Unity Theatre, Off West End) and The Great British Soap Opera (Jermyn Street Theatre, West End).
She currently plays the flute and piccolo with the County Kildare Orchestra, the clarinet with the Irish Symphonic Wind Orchestra and the saxophone with The Tea Lane Jazz Band.
She has experience in teaching flute, clarinet, saxophone, and music theory to all ages and abilities.
